Today on our 2007 Dodge Nitro, we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now, we already have this installed. Keep in mind this has a 500 pound weight capacity, and works with 2-inch hitches only. The first thing we're going to do with it on our vehicle is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. That's going to be about 14 3/4 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 30 3/4 inches. more

Today on this 2007 Dodge Nitro we're doing a test fit of the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier. This is 23 by 47 has 450 pound weight capacity and works with 2 inch hitches only. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. Just underneath our carrier we're going to have about 20 3/4 inches. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 36 3/4 inches. Our closest point is going to be about 8 inches. On our Nitro we do have a single passenger side exhaust here. more

Our closest point's going to be about 15" away. more

Today on our 2007 Dodge Nitro we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. This has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and works with 2-inch hitches only. The first thing we're going to do while it's on our vehicle is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. It's going to be about 17 1/2 inches, since we do have that raised shank in the back to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. Overall to our our vehicle, we're adding about 30 1/2 inches, and our closest point is going to be about 9 1/2 inches there. Now with our Nitro we do have a single passenger side exhaust. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Nitro we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Vista cargo carrier. This is going to be your 20" wide by 60" long cargo carrier with that expanded metal base for easy cleanability, as well as a sturdy steel construction that's going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. Down here you're going to have your 2" shank attaching to our 2" receiver, with the use of a 3/4" anti-rattle bolt to help reduce the sway, rattle, and wobble. This will be part number SR9849. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest measurement will be the distance from the front of the rack to the backside of the bumper. That distance is going to be about 9-3/4". more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Nitro, we're going to be doing a test fit on Let's Go Aero GearCage 32 by 48 inch cargo carrier. It's going to offer that 300-pound weight capacity with that nice sturdy steel construction. The nice thing about this rack is it's also going to have that 2-inch shank for your 2-inch receivers attached with an anti-rattle bolt as you can see there. It's going to be part number HCR222. Let's start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be the first measurement from the front of the rack to the back side of the bumper, at about 8-5/8 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 42-3/4 inches, with a ground clearance of about 12-3/4 inches. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Nitro, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Vista Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be part number SR9851. It's going to be 20 inches wide by 60 inches long with that nice, expanded metal base for easy cleanability. You can also see that's going to have that nice folding shank that's going to fold up and give that nice stow position with that two-inch shank connecting to the two-inch receiver with the use of an anti-rattle bolt that's going to help reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble. All right, the first things we're going to do is get a few measurements. Our closest distance will be the first measurement, at about 19 and one-eighth inches. more

This cargo carrier does not come with your hitch pin and clip, so if you'd like to obtain one, you can get it on our website, part number PC3. This rack is going to be 20 by 60 inch, 20 inches wide by 60 inches long, with that nice expanded metal bottom for easy cleaning. It's also going to come with a two-inch shank for your two-inch receivers, as you can see here, and that nice folding shank that'll put it in that nice stowed position once we're done. Let's go ahead and get a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement at about 14 and five-eighths inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle is going to be about 35 and three-quarter inches, with that rear ground clearance of about 13 and three-quarter inches. more

Well line up our hitch pin hole and secure the carrier with a standard five-eighths inch pin and clip. Now well go over a hand full of clearance measurements. Weve got about 13 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Weve got about five inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. more

Well line up our hitch pin holes and secure the carrier with a standard five-eighths inch pin and clip. Now well go over a hand full of clearance measurements with the cargo carrier folded up. Weve got about 14 inches of ground clearance and two and a half inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle when folded up. Weve added about 14 inches of overall length to the rear of the vehicle. more

Well line up our hitch pin holes, thread in out anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next well go over a hand full of clearance measurements. Weve got about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the cargo carrier. Weve got about five inches of clearance between the closest part of our bumper and the closest part of our carrier. more

Next we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 12 1/2 inches of ground clearance and about 3 1/2 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bumper and the closest part of the carrier. Overall when folded up we've added about 11 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle. more
